Video Interview – Yale Men’s Head Coach, Colin Sheehan

This week we are sharing an interview with Colin Sheehan; Head Coach of the Yale University Men’s Golf Team. In 2011 Coach Sheehan was one of the 12 finalists for the Dave Williams Award, awarded to the Division 1 Coach of the Year. He has also been a 3-time recipient of the Division 1 Northeast Region Coach of the Year Award. The Yale Men’s Golf Program boasts one of the highest team grade point averages in the country while being ranked consistently in the top 100 in the country.

In this video, we discuss the challenges junior golfers face while navigating college golf recruiting and if the Ivy League is an appropriate fit.

What you will learn from Coach Sheehan:

  1. What are Ivy League coaches specifically looking for when recruiting?
  2. What is the school / golf balance like at Yale?
  3. What are Yale’s winter practice facilities like?
  4. Coach Sheehan’s Do’s and Don’ts of college recruiting.
